Iran and Hezbollah Attack Israel

Iran launched at least 180 ballistic missiles into Israel on Tuesday night, many of which Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system shot down. Israeli army bases were damaged in the attack, but the damage was not considered destructive enough to weaken the Israel Air Force’s effectiveness. While no Israelis were killed, one Palestinian was killed by falling debris.

Meanwhile, Israel added another division to its ground operation in Lebanon on Wednesday, shortly after Hezbollah fired about 100 rockets into northern Israel hours after Iran’s own aerial attack. Additionally, Hezbollah fired 40 projectiles at Israel’s Western Galilee and Haifa Bay area and one long-range Hezbollah rocket at central Israel this morning.

Iran’s second direct attack on Israel this year threatens to expand Israel’s already-growing conflict with terrorists into an increasingly volatile regional war. Pressure is mounting on Israel, which is calling more and more soldiers into action. But they are up to the task. The fact that so many rockets were intercepted or landed far from civilians and that no Israelis were killed in the attacks is an act of God. As Israel battles for its life, we must remember what God has already done in preserving His people and trust His promise to continue to preserve them.
