Israel at War: Week 54
With the death of Hamas head and October 7,2023 mastermind Yahya Sinwar, the IDF discovered his bunker containing both elegant furnishings along with large amounts of cash. He was found by drone and was killed by an IDF soldier.
In a Wall Street Journal report, Sinwar was offered by Egypt to leave the Gaza Strip if Egypt could handle “the terror group’s behalf for a hostage deal. As the war went on Sinwar accepted he would most likely be killed. “Officials in Egypt are hoping that Sinwar’s death will provide new impetus to stalled negotiations for ceasefire.” However, Israel maintains their position that without the release of the hostages there will be no cease fire.
In Beirut the IDF discovered a huge bunker containing $500 Million of cash and gold under Sahel Hospital. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said, “The bunker was deliberately placed under a hospital, and it holds more than half a billion dollars in cash and gold. That money could have been used to rehabilitate Lebanon, but it went to rehabilitate Hezbollah.”
Israel continues to expose the network, the leaders, and the operatives who make up Hamas and Hezbollah, and defeat them. May God bless Israel in their endeavor.
