Claiming ‘great progress’ in Iran talks, Trump pauses US naval escorts in Hormuz

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday evening he was pausing the American effort to guide stranded vessels out of the Strait of Hormuz to allow time for a deal to end the Iran war, while insisting the US blockade of Iranian ports would remain in place.

“We have mutually agreed that, while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect, Project Freedom… will be paused for a short period of time to see whether or not the Agreement can be finalized and signed,” Trump wrote on social media, referring to the naval escort operation.

He said the move was “based on the request of Pakistan and other Countries, the tremendous Military Success that we have had during the Campaign against the Country of Iran, and, additionally, the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran.”

Liberman calls for ‘decisive outcome,’ vows not to sit in government with Netanyahu

Yisrael Beitenu leader MK Avidgor Liberman launched a new campaign on Wednesday, ahead of the upcoming elections, calling for a decisive military outcome on all fronts and vowed that he would not sit in a government with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “even if the world turns upside down.”

Launching the campaign at a press conference in Tel Aviv, Liberman argued that it was “impossible to keep living from one round of fighting to the next.”

“We need to achieve a decisive outcome, no matter how long it takes. The top priority must be defeating Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas,” he said.

“This is a security and strategic disaster that must be ended. We must move from a reality of cycles to a reality of decisive outcomes. Cycles without resolution lead to erosion, fatigue, anger, frustration, and anxiety.”

Regarding alliances with other opposition parties ahead of the elections, Liberman responded to the press that he was maintaining good contact and that anything that would bring more mandates to the bloc would be done.

“I have two goals: to replace the October 7 government and to become prime minister,” Liberman said.

‘Death to the IDF’ – Pro-terror riot outside NY synagogue

Around 100 protesters chanting pro-terror slogans, waving Hezbollah flags, and displaying imagery associated with Hamas rioted outside a New York City synagogue on Tuesday night, clashing violently with police.

Officers had set up barriers to protect congregants and visitors at Park East Synagogue in Manhattan, where a real estate event promoting properties in Israel was taking place. Demonstrators gathered to protest the event, but the situation quickly escalated as rioters stormed the perimeter and confronted police.

According to the NYPD, one officer was hospitalized with a leg injury sustained during the clashes. Authorities said the officer was treated and is expected to recover.

Chants calling for Israel’s destruction rang out from the crowd, including “Death to the IDF,” “It is right to resist, Israel should not exist,” and “There is only one solution, Intifada, revolution.”

Others held Hezbollah flags and clothing with inverted red triangles, a symbol used by the Hamas terror group to symbolize the targeting of Jews.

Karen Lichtbraun, co-sponsor of the pro-Israel advocacy group Herut New York City, which organized a counter-protest, slammed the demonstrators.

‘It has become dangerous to be a Jew in France’ – by Shirit Avitan Cohen

Testimonies about antisemitic incidents across Europe and the US, along with the growing Islamization in parts of Europe, formed the backdrop to the MEDEX conference for immigrants or olim who work in the medical professions, held earlier this week in Paris.

The conference is part of a national program led by Israel’s Aliyah and Integration Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience Ministry and the Nefesh B’Nefesh organization, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency. Its goal: to remove all the bureaucratic obstacles facing those who want to make aliyah and work in the medical field.

The 350 people who registered for the conference attest, as one doctor I met there put it, to the bleak future in Europe in general and for Jews in particular. At the same time, they also reflect the optimism and hope these professionals find in making aliyah to Israel. At a time when there is a tendency toward self-flagellation over the internal problems in Israeli society, and when concern persists because of the security situation, a fresh look from the outside reveals that the good outweighs the bad.
