Israel at War: Week 155

Here are some significant recent events from Israel:

• Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the United Nations and he confronted the corrupt, Israel-hating international body with facts. One news source said that some member nations walked out of his speech, among those were China, Syria, Russia. In reality a high percentage of representatives walked out. He emphasized that Israel will fight to win the war on terror against Iran and its proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and every terror group that threatens Israel.

• An elite unit of the Israel police eliminated the terrorist who captured Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova festival October 7, 2023. Israel is determined to bring every terrorist to justice who participated in the attack. They have been very successful of late taking out the perpetrators. Israel wants peace, but will defend to the death its people and land.

• With Israel’s elections drawing nearer, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s detractors are trying to place total blame for the October 7 Hamas attacks on him. However, as Avi Abelow notes, “Any honest investigation must also examine the military and intelligence leaders who detected Hamas activity hours before the massacre, held consultations, yet did not awaken the prime minister, evacuate the Nova festival or adequately alert the forces along the Gaza border.”

With a world increasingly in opposition to Israel, it shows how vital our support for Israel is (Genesis 12:3; Psalms 120, 122, 132:11-18). We must stand for and with them as Americans and Christians.
