Israel at War: Week 159
Here are a few of this week’s top news stories concerning Israel:
• With Israeli elections just hours away, the nation faces a decision to continue to allow Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud party and coalition to continue in this time or to move in a different direction. President Trump has given his firm endorsement to Netanyahu, “urging voters to allow him to finish the job we started.”
• The IDF foiled a terrorist attack in the Binyamin region of Israel upon receiving intelligence of a suspected terrorist entering the area. “Within approximately 30 minutes soldiers identified and arrested the suspect.”
• On Saturday two Israeli soldiers were killed in an attack. Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roytman, 23, and Sergeant Yuval Shai Svilem 20, both fell in battle at the Yehuda Junction and served in the Yehuda Brigade.
These are momentous, historic days in Israel and in our world. Thankfully God’s Word reminds us that God holds our times and the nations in His hands (Psalm 95:12-23). Please uphold Israel today and tomorrow as they go to the polls to vote. May God’s will be done.
