British Prime Minister Considering Moving Embassy to Jerusalem

At the United Nations meeting last month, British Prime Minister Liz Truss told Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid that she’s considering relocating the United Kingdom’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Lapid sent on Twitter a thanks to the new prime minister saying, “We will continue to strengthen the partnership between the countries.”

Of course all the naysayers are coming out and claiming that the relocation of the British Embassy would be a disaster. A headline from The Guardian reads, “Liz Truss’s Next Disaster, A Plan to Move the British Embassy to Jerusalem.” The Middle East Eye wrote, “Liz Truss moving UK embassy to Jerusalem would be disastrous.” Everyone said the exact same thing when the Trump administration moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. But what followed was peace between Israel and several Arab nations, not a disaster like the mainstream media claimed.

I say, move the embassy, Prime Minister Truss, because history is on your side.
