Doing the Impossible!

Addressing the United Nations Human Rights Council, UN Watch Director Hillel Neuer said that due to “Iran’s escalating aggression, sponsorship of terror, and subversion across the Middle East,” the impossible occurred as Arab nations abandoned their “ardent, age old antagonism, to open unprecedented new relations with Israel.”

Here in part is what he said:

“Mr. Chairman,

They said it could not be done. They said that it was impossible. But since around 2006, this began to change. And if anyone most deserves the credit it’s Iran. If not for its aggression across the Middle East; if not for its sponsorship of wars and terror through Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and other proxy militia, other Arab nations might never have concluded that the greatest threat to their security is not Israel. On the contrary, both Arabs and Israelis face a common and increasingly dangerous threat: Iran.

Mr. Chair,

They said it could not be done. They said it was impossible. But today we tip our hat and say: Iran you did the impossible.

Thank You.”

As an aside:

The one responsible for helping change the Middle East landscape, the former United States President Donald J. Trump, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his brokering the peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Because of the growing threat of Iran in the region, Israel is seen to be an aid and ally in moderating that threat.
