Israel at War: Week 105
Two psalms come to mind today as the surviving hostages returned to Israel today. The psalms are Psalm 124 and 129. These two psalms speak of God’s safe keeping and preservation of His people when they experienced severe trials.
The hostages released this week are:
Alon Ohel, age 24
Ariel Cunio, age 28; brother of hostage David Cunio
Avinatan Or, age 32
Bar Kupershtein, age 23
David Cunio, age 35
Eitan Horn, age 38
Eitan Mor, age 25
Elkana Bohbot, age 36
Evyatar David, age 24
Gali Berman and Ziv Berman, twin brothers, age 28 who have not seen each other until today!
Guy Gilboa-Dalal, age 24
Maksim Hardin, age 37
Matan Angrest, age 22
Matan Zangauker, age 25, “He has muscular dystrophy (MD), which made his conditions in captivity especially dire.”
Nimrod Cohen, age 20, the only survivor from his tank crew.
Omri Miran, age 48
Rom Braslavski, age 21
Sergev Kalfon, age 27
Yosef-Chaim Ohana, age 25
All of these can say with the psalmist, “Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers, the snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the Name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 124:6-8).
Welcome home to each of you, may God give daily strength as you recover from your ordeal.
Am Yisrael Chai!
