Israel at War: Week 117
Happy New Year, Everyone!
Israel continues to battle Hamas, Hezbollah, and other security threats. Both Hezbollah and Iran appear to be attempting to reconstruct their ballistic missile and nuclear program and Israel is equally determined to prevent them from doing so. As Prime Minister Netanyahu said, “I and President Trump will not let Iran restore its nuclear, ballistic programs.”
In a significant move by Prime Minister Netanyahu to make Israel less dependent on allies and foreign provision for military machinery and ammunition, put forth a $110 billion dollar arms proposal for Israel to be self-sustaining. “We will continue to acquire essential supplies while independently arming ourselves.” A move that is very timely and necessary for Israel.
With growing threats and responding to them with precise military strikes, Israel seeks to protect and defend their ancient homeland. And watching over them is God. As the psalmist stated , “Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4).
