Israel at War: Week 121

Confronting Hamas terrorists at the Rafah Crossing illustrates the significant challenges Israel faces with the terrorist organization. ‘IDF soldiers overnight (Jan 30) identified eight terrorists emerging from underground infrastructure in eastern Rafah, the southern Gaza Strip, prompting an airstrike that killed at least three of them, the Israel Defense Forces said on Friday.’ The Rafah Border Crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip officially resumed operations on Monday (Feb 2) for the first time in almost a year.

Hamas has said they will never disarm. Negotiating with Hamas reminds me of Isaiah 57:20-21, “But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.” You cannot expect peace from them or make peace with them. So the conflict goes on until they are defeated, disarmed, and destroyed. Never forget Prime Minister Netanyahu’s words, “This is a war of light against darkness, and light must win.”
