Israel at War: Week 125
Over the weekend Israel and the United States launched significant aerial attacks on Iran, eliminating 40 key leaders including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized the difference between Israel’s strategic attacks and Iran’s is that Israel targets military assets not civilians. Iran on the other hand targets civilians.
Two examples of this are the direct hit Sunday on Beit Shemesh leaving 40 wounded, with 9 dead, including 3 siblings. Yaakov, Sara, and Avigail Briton. The IDF is investigating the failure of why the missile was not intercepted. It was the deadliest attack on an Israeli city since the current conflict began.
Sunday evening a ballistic missile landed in Jerusalem leaving six wounded. “Jerusalem district police commissioner Avshalom Peled toured the site as bomb disposal experts conducted searches for additional munitions in and around the crater.” Those wounded were in their cars at the time of the missile exploding and were taken by Magen David Adom ambulances to local hospitals. Also six Americans have died in the fighting so far.
