Mayor Mamdani threatened to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu if he comes to New York in September to address the UN.
In response Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he is coming to New York in spite of the mayor’s threat and that Mamdani is “fomenting hate.” And added, “He is supposed to be the mayor of all New Yorkers—Jews, Christians, Muslims, everyone.”
Interestingly, Mayor Mamdani, in a recent statement, said that he is in conversation with his legal team about his threat and he had a list of offenses against Israeli forces in Gaza.” However, “he had already been told by his lawyers that he did not have the authority to arrest Netanyahu.”
Netanyahu left Israel secretly for a meeting with President Trump especially about Iran. “I am embarking on this mission with one clear objective, to ensure the security, strength, and future of our beloved State of Israel.”
