Israel at War: Week 150
For years Israel has received condemnation for supposed starvation of Gaza. Though the accusation had little proof, the world bought the lie. Now the truth is being told by UNICEF of a very different reality. “NEW more rigorous data paints a dramatically different picture-and has triggered a more rigorous debate over whether the original declaration was correct.”
The recent report released by UNICEF on July 22 discovered “a stark reversal from the declarations made almost exactly a year ago that a dire famine was ravaging the war torn territory.” Entitled “Gaza Nutrition SMART Survey Result,” it revealed exactly the opposite of the accusations of Israel’s starvation of Gaza. “Wasting- a term used to describe extreme thinness, is LOW (emphasis added) across all domains, suggesting no widespread acute malnutrition at population level.” In fact, “at the rate of 0.5 percent Gaza has one of the lowest rates of acute child malnutrition in the region.”
The truth, while late in coming, demonstrates the reality of trusting liar’s and murderer’s reports. Hamas has proven over and over again they cannot be trusted in statistics, facts, and truth regarding Israel. They demonstrate the reality of Solomon’s words in Proverbs 13:5, “A righteous man hates lying, but a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame.” An apt description of Hamas, a wicked terror organization that is loathsome, and in light of the UNICEF report indeed has come to shame in the release of this significant report.
Perhaps the saying, “Better late than never,” fits here. Since the Israel-Hamas War broke out false accusations against Israel have been leveled. Like others, here’s another accusation, that upon closer analysis, proves false.
