Israel at War: Week 27
Early on Sunday morning (April 14, 2024), Iran launched a barrage of 300 missiles, drones, and rockets at Israel in retaliation for Israel’s alleged airstrike “of a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus April 1.” The strike led to seven dead Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members, including two generals.
Iran claims they gave Israel 72 hours advance notice of the attack. Israel received intelligence and assistance from key allies including the United States, UK, and Jordanian militaries, and some key Arab states whose aid “is being kept quiet.”
Israel now weighs its response to the attack, and is being encouraged to not respond by Western allies who fear a widening regional conflict if that happened.
About 99% of the missiles launched at Israel were destroyed. The support of intelligence, co-operation of neighboring Arab states, and allied militaries, prevented a colossal catastrophe in Israel.
Praise God and Baruch Hashem for a successful outcome. Continue to pray for Israel in these days.
