Israel at War: Week 28
In the United States, college campuses are boiling over with protests, demonstrations, and physical confrontations with Jewish students. The campuses of Yale, MIIT, Columbia, University of California-Berkeley, and the University of Michigan have become hotbeds for Palestinian supporters.
At the University of Michigan chants of “Allah Akbar” and “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will be Free!” rang out, along with the Muslim call to prayer. An encampment of protesters have set up in the well known Diag, a central gathering place on campus. Signs demanding that the school divest from all investments in Israel. “Stop Funding the Genocide” signs visibly share their desire to see support for Israel end from the university.
The war in Gaza has spilled out across the world with demonstrations supporting Hamas in the conflict. Especially on college campuses, creating fear for the safety of Jewish students.
This development shows the truth of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s words at the outset of this war, “This is a war of good against evil; of light against darkness. And light must win.” Pray that his words will reach college youth and nations alike, that supporting Hamas supports darkness and evil.
