Most Palestinians Justify Hamas’s Massacre
A chilling 72% of Palestinians feel Hamas’s October 7 slaughter of more than 1,200 Israelis was justified, according to a survey by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research. Of the 1,231 Palestinians from Gaza and Judea and Samaria polled, 89% don’t believe Hamas terrorists committed war crimes, though 95% believe Israel breached international law in its defensive response in Gaza. Support for Hamas among Palestinians significantly increased, as 72% of respondents are satisfied with Hamas, and 51% would vote for Hamas if elections were held now, believing the terrorist group is “the most deserving of representing and leading the Palestinian people today.”
These results reflect on Palestinian civilians tragically poorly. Though many seek to escape the evil Hamas inflicts on them, and though there is a minority of Palestinian Christians that seeks God and wants nothing to do with Hamas, this survey indicates the majority of Palestinians surrounding Israel support the mass murder of Israelis. What is clear to many of us looking at Israel from a distance is not clear to those that have been conditioned by their murderous leaders to hate the Jewish state. If Hamas continues to receive support, the Palestinians’ future will only grow bleaker as they suffer destitution and the ignominious role of human shields in Hamas’s mindless campaign to utterly destroy Israel.
