Praise, Threats, and a Bounty

Following the targeted elimination of the Iranian Republican Guard Corps commander Quasem Soleimani last Thursday, various responses have occurred. Prime Minister Netanyahu praised the action, “Trump is worthy of full appreciation for acting with determination, strongly and swiftly. We stand fully by the United States in its just battle for security, peace, and self-defense.” Benny Gantz, currently running for Prime Minister, said that the action “was fitting for anyone whose action brings about the murder of innocents and the destabilization of the region and the world.”

Meanwhile, Iran has voiced threats of retaliation, including placing a bounty of $80 Million dollars on President Trump, based on a $1 donation from each of the 80 million citizens of Iran. It has also threatened to put Haifa and Tel Aviv in the dust.

Praise, threats, and a bounty. Such is the response to the death of a terrorist and blood thirsty villain that no one expected would ever occur.

Solomon summarizes the end of a wicked man, “Therefore, his calamity shall come suddenly; Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy” (Proverbs 6:15). His description fits a man like Qasem Soleimani.
