The Violence Continues

In three instances in Israel last week Israelis dealt with violent attacks from Palestinians. One of those occurred in a town near Nablus in Samaria, as three Palestinians opened fire on the military. “Three Palestinian gunmen, claimed as members of the Hamas terror group, were killed by Israeli forces while attempting to attack a small Samaritan community in the northern West Bank Tuesday morning.”

Palestinian terror leaders praised the gunmen as “fighters” and “heroes of the heroic Nablus operation.” No soldiers were injured in the attack.

Israel’s detractors and opponents blame Israel as the reason peace has not occurred. In reality, the prophet’s question fits here, “Can two walk together except they be agreed” (Amos 3:3). So long as “The Palestinians love death like the Israelis love life,” peace and co-existence between the two nations will remain elusive. Israel wants peace, however the Palestinian leadership do not. So the violence continues.
