Christianity is nothing like other reli- gions. In a dangerous world, people need the whole counsel of God. If you don’t think so, you’ll want to read this article.
He moved with grace through the culture of his day. That was Isaiah, a prince of prophets, whom you’ll get to know better through this excellent article.
Many people think the gospel is strictly a New Testament phenomenon. However, the elements of sin, repen- tance, and faith in God alone are con- tained in the book of Isaiah.
Is God finished with Israel? By no means. Israel’s return, redemption, and restora- tion to its land are key themes through- out the book of Isaiah. See for yourself!
Some say more than one man wrote the book of Isaiah because no one can fore- see the future. Really? Here’s evidence to the contrary.
Hello please pray for me Samantha and my husband David and my daughter Jenna that our faith may be strenghtened. Peace be unto you
According to verse one people in heaven are aware what is happening to us on this earth. I read different commentaries on verse 1. Some agree with this interpretation others do not. I have one logical question? The first rule of good Biblical hermeneutics
Is to take the literal interpretation first if it makes sense. This verse plainly states we are compassed about with a cloud of witnesses.
That being the case: Who are these cloud of witnesses?
To me following the rules of proper Biblical hermeneutics it make sense it refers to those in heaven who ran the race. Christians on this earth still are running the race.
I could be wrong but that is how I interpret Verse 1 for the stated reasons.
I would think also the witnesses are all who ran the race to the finish and kept the faith to the end. And thus can sit down with Chist at the Fathers right hand. So we are not included with those who give up and lose out, but endure to the end also.
