Joppa, Down by the Sea
Jaffa is the modern name for Joppa, which was and still is a major sea-port on the Mediterranean. God gave the region to the tribe of Dan (Josh. 19:40–46). I’ve been to Joppa numerous times and it is a beautiful and completely photogenic city. Unfortunately, I have to share while I have taken numerous pictures of Joppa, I don’t believe that the picture that ran with my article was mine. Friends of Israel has an amazing team that helps in the editing and production of each issue. The picture that was placed with my particular article was chosen by our graphic artist. Hi Tom, I just found some of your photo’s after googling, photos of Joppa.
I’m an artist who loves painting ancient cities like Jerusalem, Joppa and I have done one of Tyre and sold it , I’m just getting ready to start working again. Someone I lent my resource book to who didn’t return it, much to my sadness. I was wondering if I could use your photo as a resource?
