It’s good to read your articles and realize there are some who listen and take it to heart. Thank you for your voice in your generation.
Hi, I read your article on Giants and appreciate all you wrote. This is a concern of mine for years and have been working at training theological education to the men. I can’t ID very many pastors that have this burden you shared, but one church that i’ve seen do this is Denton Bible Church of N. Dallas, TX. I use their BTCP manuals in Brazil to disciple men to maturity. I believe that just as we expect a boy to become a man and husband, in the same way every man or boy, withouth exception, who trust Christ, should mature to become a teacher in some capcity. you stated that working in the church is important, but it’s not our spiritual calling. We are called to disciple, whether our children, our wives, our neighbors, etc. I would love to be a part of more conversation like this. thank you. dan – missionary to Fortaleza, Brasil.
Hi Dan,
So good of you to comment. I am familiar with Denton Bible Church and their discipleship course for men, especially young men. They are doing a great work, and Pastor Nelson’s preaching is powerful.
Thanks, again, for writing.
