The Sons of Ishmael

Ishmael was the son of Abraham and Hagar, Sarah’s Egyptian maidservant. His name, which in Hebrew means “God heard,” memorializes the Almighty’s concern for Sarah’s harsh treatment of Hagar (Gen. 16:6, 11). 1. I read the book Islam and the Anti-Christ by Joel Richardson and I recommend all Christians to read this book! You can get a free copy ebook from his website, joelstrumpet.com very eye opening spiritually speaking in this day and time we live in!

  2. William, thank you for your helpful article on Ishmaels’ descendants. Having recently read Genesis 17, one question in my mind was whether there was anything more profound or spiritual in why Yahweh promises 12 princes to Ishmael (and not 11, 13 etc.). Despite being an equal number to the 12 tribes to come through Issac, when 12 is used in the scripture it tends to be associated with Yahwehs people. I wondered if it was in anyway related to the salvation purposes to graft in the gentiles in time?

  3. Thank you for this explanation of the Ishmaelites. It cleared up a lot of questions in my mind. I am glad you also quoted scriptures to help us understand it from a biblical perspective.

  4. Thank you for this piece. I want to understand the Ishmaelite/Islamic position in the coming millennium. lso as you said in your concluding remark
‘Then Israel, along with all nations, including the descendants of Ishmael, will worship God at His Temple in Jerusalem’.
If they do not accept Jesus as there Lord how will they be partakers of new Jerusalem ruled by Christ.
