Hello, first time checking this site out. Looks great and I can see I’ll be learning more.
My question may be really out there and maybe I need to hire an historian, however it’s a Jewish ancestry question. I’ve been asked throughout my life if I’m Jewish so I plugged in my maiden name Banman, my mom’s name Friesen and her mom’s name Gross; all are names found in the Yad Vashem Jewish central database as been killed or had been to a Ghetto. My ancestors came from Austria and Russia and spoke platt deutch. I can probably understand quarter to a third of the yiddish when I was traveling
to Israel. Any thoughts?
