Numbers chapter one (1) give us the number of men age twenty and upward that were able to go to war as 603,550; the Levites were not among the numbering. At what age were the men ‘not’ able to go to war is not given, this number must have been large. Let us say that 80%, and this is a low percent as Jewish families we large, Jacob with twelve sons without numbering the daughters, but 80% would be 482,840 wives, and let us say they had six (6) children which would be 2,897,040 just for the 603,550, children 603,840 plus 482,840 wives – now we are at 3,379,880 without numbering the others were were not able to go to war which could have easily been 2,000,000; so now the Moses led people were over 5,000,000 and this is a low estimate. When we meet in heaven some day we can, if there is a pause in thanking and praising our Savior, maybe we will discuss this further.
