Brother Jim, this was a well written and thought out article, and the importance not just for truth, but for Biblical Truth. Thanks for sharing it. Brother John McKim
I agree with your article but would like perhaps some scripture refs that may relate to the world media often bringing notice to what looks like heavy handedness against arab protesters in Israel.
Yes the Jews have rightful possession of the land but are arab christians in Israel treated fairly ?
Thank you, Mr. Showers, for a great article! I’m still hoping one day I will be able to visit Israel. I agree with all your points – especially those that point out the error of believers who accept (tolerate?) replacement theology. Amen, brother.
The police in the U.S. go over to Israel to learn how to combat terrorism. But driverless cars can be done away with. We don’t need that invention!
As for the future, after the rapture of the church, the bride of Christ, which is taken up to heaven when Christ comes for us (I Thessalonians 4:14-18), then great tribulation shall occur on the earth. (Matthew 24) The antichrist will rule the world, aided by the false prophet, and energized by Satan. That hellish trio will wreak havoc on the Jewish people left behind. Of course, the antichrist will take credit for the false peace that will happen after the rapture. But midweek of years, i.e. 3 1/2 years, shall be deadly and murderous. For when they safe peace and safety then sudden destruction … (I Thessalonians 5). At the end of the seven year tribulation period, the Lord Jesus Christ and us Christians will return to the earth to deliver his Jewish brethren and believers. (Zechariah 14) A might war will take place, beginning in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, according to Joel 3. The day of the Lord would have already began aka the time of Jacob’s trouble. But we will prevail and win, of course. (Revelation 19) Blood shall flow up to the horse’s bridle. It will take 7 months to clean up after the mighty war.
So, yes, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. But that involves so much of world events.
This article is a real eye opener. Many people need to read it and let the facts of God’s Word sink into their hearts and minds.
Thank you for this wonderful article. “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.” Ps 150:6
