Some didn’t want to travel the distance from Babylon to Jerusalem. Others were content w living in Babylon and having good positions in that land; possibly positions w the government.

In Nehemiah 11 :1-3 The people had to cast lots to live in Jerusalem and those, the scriptures say who willing offered to live in Jerusalem were blessed..
To me the Words sound as if the people were reluctant to live in Jerusalem…If so why was that?

Thanks for your elaborate article, but in my studies I have discovered that Zerubbabel and Sheshbazzar were two different people and both names were Babylonian names unlike what you stated in this article.

Thank you soo much for relating the scriptures to the contemporary Africa in view of the current social Economic and political situation. I believe in the God of zerubbabel, Ezra and Nehemiah for my prosperity. God is doing a new thing.(new job, new hope, new health and many news!), the pagans (our adversary & people whose backgrounds we don’t know) have been put to task by God to ensure our success!
Mean while let’s rework on our new faith & values to ensure they glorify God in our new blessed environment….am encouraged and blessed.

Yes Daniel 7 was completed when the beast returned out of the sea [by boat] like a leopard in an Arabic country-Palestine ,feet like a Bear-mostly out of USSR ,speaking lion -Hebrew; becoming official 1948. We[Judah] are the beast of the Tribes because He came to us first & as prophesied we murdered Him [Matthew 27;25] & the curse is upon us. He is Yeshu Ha Moshiach – Jesus Christ who will redeem those that are Baptised to Him regardless of the evil done to Him……The elect will be fooled & follow after the Beast -Wondering.
