According to The New York Times, the Group of 20 (G-20) plus the European Union (EU) “represent about 90 percent of the world’s gross national product, 80 percent of world trade (including trade within the European Union) and two-thirds of the global population.”
G-20 members are America, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey, plus a representative from the 27-member European Union.
European Union members are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom consisting of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
