Lucifer and the other angels according to Scripture were created very early on day one of creation week. He watched God perform His creative work for 6 days. On the 7th day he watched as the Loprd rested after having finished creating. Hence, ii was at least the eighth day before Lucifer rebelled having becoming obsessed with replacing God having seen Him create the crown jewel of creation week, living human beings. Since the Bible doesn’t specify the exact timing of his rebellion we can only know that it was at least after God’s sabbath rest.
There never was a time when God did not exist. Deuteronomy 32:40 , psalm 90: 2 , Psalm 93:2
This means God has been around for billions upon billions of years. I find it difficult to believe that God only decided a few thousand years ago to create things . What do we think He has been doing for trillions of years? We know and acknowledge that God creates only perfection.
Genesis 1:2 says the earth was without form , and void ; and darkness was on the face of the earth.
Colossians 1 : 16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven , and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones , or dominions; or principalities , or powers : all things were created by Him , and for Him.
Genesis 1 : 2 let’s us know that the earth was already there- but not in the form that would be a result of God’s creative genius. This suggests to me that something had happened to the earth after God created it in the beginning( Genesis 1 : 1) and the subsequent verse 2.
We also know from Ezekiel 28 : 11 – 19 that Satan had been serving in the original garden of Eden as an anointed Cherub . In verse 16 we see he had performed numerous transactions allowing him to become even richer than he had been at his creation. Isaiah 14:13 let’s us know satan’s original thought pattern leading to his fall. Matthew 25:41 tells us of a trial of Satan that sentenced him to a lake of fire. Since he is not serving that sentence we can assume he appealed the judgment. It is possible that the angels have been around for millions of years since the Bible does not put time frames.
I think the problem stems from the assumption we make that verse one and two in Genesis 1 relate to one time frame , instead of realizing the more realistic possibility that it does not.
